Josh McCown is Great Emergency QB Option

Despite some of the worst possible conditions to have to throw in, the Chicago Bears would rally in the second-half past the Baltimore Ravens behind a solid performance by backup quarterback Josh McCown, who continues to fill-in for the injured Jay Cutler.

After the game went into overtime, McCown would lead the Bears down the field, and Robbie Gould kicked the game-winning 38-yard field goal to win the game. McCown finished the day 19/31 for 216 yards (7.0) and one touchdown and didn’t throw a pick, earning him a 92.9 QB rating.

Bears Head Coach Marc Trestman has already announced McCown will make a second straight start Week 12 at St. Louis in place of Cutler, who remains week to week with an ankle injury. McCown is 2-0 as a starter this season, defeating the Packers on Nov. 4 and the Ravens on Sunday. He has not thrown an interception in 101 pass attempts. With the likes of Russell Wilson, Nick Foles, Andy Dalton and E.J. Manuel on a bye this week, McCown could be a sneaky fantasy football start against the St. Louis Rams.
