The Terrelle Pryor Experiment is Over

After a hot-start to the 2013 NFL season, Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor has taken a massive hit in his production over the past month, as injuries and inconsistent play have exposed him and has the Raiders wondering if they should even consider him a long-term answer.  He was ruled out of Sunday’s game versus the Houston Texans with knee injury that he’s been dealing with for the past month.

Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen acknowledged that Pryor encountered a setback on Friday after sharing reps with rookie Matt McGloin in Thursday’s practice. Pryor has completed 132 passes for 224 yards for 1,559 yards with five touchdowns and 10 interceptions. But he leads the team in rushing with 68 carries for 504 yards and two touchdowns, so he became a viable option in fantasy football.

Then came word Wednesday that the team will start McGloin again this week, and it’s safe to say Pryor’s fantasy football value has plummeted. He’s only worth keeping in deeper leagues where you may actually have two backup QBs, and he’s dead weight on most standard rosters.
