Prev. Week

1

Denver Broncos

9-1

Even with a hobbled Manning, they still were able to take care of the Chiefs. This is the best team in the NFL right now.

1

2

New Orlean Saints

9-2

This is a good team that is very good at home. Next week they play Seattle in a a game that will likely determine NFC home field.

3

3

Seattle Seahawks

10-1

Speaking of good at home, the Seahawks will get the Saints at home next week in a game that will likely determine NFC home field.

4

4

Kansas City Chiefs

9-1

This team was exposed last week vs the Broncos and needs to rebound this week vs the Chargers at home.

2

5

Carolina Panthers

7-3

I am not too proud to eat crow here. Cam Newton is playing well, and he and this defense make the Panthers tough to beat

6

6

Cincinnati Bengals

7-4

The defense, even without Hall and Atkins, is championship caliber. The offense is good enough, but not consitent enough.

8

7

New England Patriots

7-3

Bad call or not, the Panthers deserved to win that game. The Patriots are still the #2 seed in the AFC, but they sure don’t scare anyone anymore.

5

8

San Francisco 49ers

6-4

I have always said the 49ers traded the wrong QB – and I stand by that. Kaepernick is not playing well enough and this team is in danger of missing the playoffs.

7

9

Indianapolis Colts

7-3

Since beating the Broncos, the Colts have squeaked out 2 wins against a bad teams (Hou and Ten) and got beat by 30 by a bad Rams team starting a backup QB.

9

10

Arizona Cardinals

6-4

The most overlooked playoff contender. They have a good defense, plenty of weapons on offense, and they are tied for 2nd with the 49ers.

11

11

Chicago Bears

6-4

They haven’t really lost a step with McCown. With the Rodgers injury, the Bears have the inside track at the division.

12

12

Philadelphia Eagles

6-5

The Eagles are a surprise this year and they are better with Foles behind center.

13

13

Detroit Lions

6-4

They simply cannot be trusted. 27 points in 1 quarter…0 points in the other 3, and they lose to a bad Steelers team.

10

14

Dallas Cowboys

5-5

This is the flashiest, most talked about .500 franchise ever. Since the end of the 1996 season, the Cowboys are 272-272 and 1-6 in the playoffs (17 years) – the GM should fire himself.

14

15

Tennessee Titans

4-6

In a weak AFC, the Titans are good enough to compete for a 6 seed, but this is no playoff caliber team .

15

16

New York Giants

4-6

On a 4 game win streak, I still like the Giants to win the division. Why? Because they have a 2-time Super Bowl QB and coach…and the NFC East sucks.

16

17

San Diego Chargers

4-6

Speaking of teams that cannot be trusted. The Chargers are good enough to compete with anyone and bad enough to lose against anyone.

16

18

Saint Louis Rams

4-6

Even with Kellen Clemens playing QB, this team is still fighting and looks to have the ability to spoil a playoff for a team.

20

19

Pittsburgh Steelers

4-6

Hard to believe that a the Steelers are just 1 game out of the playoffs…and they gave up 55 points to the Patriots. That just shows you how week the AFC is this year.

26

20

Buffalo Bills

4-7

Apparently I may need to eat crow on the Manuel pick. The kid has been fairly successful in his 1st year.

24

21

Miami Dolphins

5-5

Currently in a tie for the 6 seed, but I can’t see the Dolphins being able to make the playoffs ith all that is surrounding them.

25

22

Baltimore Ravens

4-6

Hard to believe that this is the team that won the Super Bowl 9 months ago. Flacco got away with highway robbery.

18

23

New York Jets

5-5

Geno Smith is bad. No way the Jets make the playoff.

17

24

Green Bay Packers

5-5

Without Aaron Rodgers, this is a very weak and suspect team. His return may be too little too late.

19

25

Oakland Raiders

4-6

When I look at the Raiders, I can only think of 1 thing….how %$#@ing bad is Matt Flynn to get beat out by Terrelle Pryor?

27

26

Cleveland Browns

4-6

The Browns defense is very good, but they have no running game, little passing game, and apparently a very bad special teams unit.

21

27

Washington Redskins

3-7

3-7 and now some pointing of fingers and some team dissention? Uh oh. In 27 years of coaching, Shanahan is 47-17 (.734) with Elway and 123-115 (.517) without Elway. Just sayin.

23

28

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2-8

The Buccaneers should probably be 5-5. The last 3 weeks, it is hard to believe this team started 0-8 and Mike Glennon has been very surprising to me.

31

29

Houston Texans

2-8

What has gone wrong in Houston? At the start of the year, they were a favorite Super Bowl pick – now they are 2-8, Schaub is a backup and he and Andre Johnson are fighting? Wow.

29

30

Minnesota Vikings

2-8

The Vikings were a fluke last year propped up by an enormous year by Adrian Peterson.

30

31

Atlanta Falcons

2-9

They have had some injuries, but who hasn’t? How does a team go from 13-3, #1 overall seed and the NFC Championship game to 2-9? Matt Ryan does not look like a top tier QB.

28

32

Jacksonville Jaguars

1-9

You cannot tell me this team wouldn’t be better, more watchable, more marketable and more relevant with Tim Tebow as the QB. Gabbert and Henne are bad.
