Washington Redskins rookie tight end Jordan Reed has been ruled out for Monday’s game at San Francisco because of a concussion that he suffered in last Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Reed’s 45 catches for 499 yards both rank second on the Redskins. With Reed out, the Redskins will have to rely on the incumbent Fred Davis, who has been inactive the past five games. Davis has some rust to knock off. He has played in just four games this season and has three catches.
Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker is officially listed as probable on the Broncos’ injury report, but Head Coach Jack Del Rio already said he was definite to play.Welker left last Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter with a concussion and neck injury, practiced on a limited basis Thursday.
The Carolina Panthers will be without defensive end Charles Johnson against the Miami Dolphins. Johnson sprained his MCL against the Patriots in this past Monday night’s win after being leg whipped by Marcus Cannon.
