The original intent of this article’s title was to grasp the attention of the masses and its infatuation with Hollywood’s latest blockbuster. (I think maybe it is a book too?) Now, I realize it could apply to Andy’s flowing bright orange hair or even the flack he’s been catching from fans and some media outlets lately. Instead, this is meant to discuss the Cincinnati quarterback’s potential to hit a hot streak this last month, which will inevitably lead to a Bengals playoff berth.
Week 13 San Diego Chargers
The Chargers are currently ranked 27th in pass defense – giving up 276 yards per game. Your instinct is to think “sure, but they’ve played Denver and KC twice this year.” The truth is that they have faced Denver and KC only once apiece this year. What you will find in their previous matchups is losses to Tennessee, Oakland, Washington and Houston.
Week 14 Indianapolis Colts
The Colts pass defense is ranked 19th in the league and opposing quarterbacks have a solid 92.4 passer rating. Indy has also given up 1133 (284 average) yards passing the past four weeks to back-up quarterbacks and Carson Palmer. The Colts 27th ranked rushing defense may detract from Andy, though, and provide big days in between the tackles for The Law Firm and Gio.
