The Denver Broncos need to win this week vs the Kansas City Chiefs to ensure that they win the AFC West and get at least a first-round bye for the playoffs, but they’ll play Sunday once again without their head coach, as John Fox continues to recover from a heart procedure. Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that Fox will be back at work on Monday, the day after the Broncos return from Kansas City after their game against the Chiefs.
The Baltimore Ravens appeared set to activate tight end Dennis Pitta back this week vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers for their Thanksgiving showdown, but failed to activate him in time for him to play in the 22-20 win over their AFC North rivals. While they were able to win without him last night, they’ll need their Pro Bowler back and playing like his 2012 form when he set career highs in receptions (61), yards (669) and touchdowns (seven) for the Super Bowl champions.
The expectation now is that he’ll be activated next week and make his 2013 NFL debut against the woeful Minnesota Vikings.
