Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery had a big game vs. the Minnesota Vikings today, as he set a new franchise record for the most receiving yards in a single game, but perhaps none of his boatload of catches was better than this one:
He passed up Harlon Hill put up 214 receiving yards in 1954 against the San Francisco 49ers then Johnny Morris hit 201 against the Dallas Cowboys in 1962. Jeffery’s record-setting day marked the second time he’s set the franchise record for receiving yards this season. He had 218 yards vs.the New Orleans Saints earlier this year. He’s doing his best to keep the Bears in the playoff race.
He may become the Bears’ best receiver soon, even with Brandon Marshall still in town.
