The tone of the game was set by Cincinnati’s defense stop and opening drive during which Dalton was 6-for-7, ending in a 29 yard touchdown grab by Marvin Jones.

Following a rare missed field goal by Adam Vinatieri, the only other scoring drive of the first half was a questionable 4th and 1 run by the Law Firm at the goal line. Green-Ellis was initially ruled down by contact, but the call was reversed, effectively giving Cincinnati a 14-0 lead as they headed into the locker room.

Andy Dalton was on target, and Giovani Bernard broke key runs to fuel the offense.

The Bengals stayed red-hot coming out of the halftime tunnel, driving methodically downfield for a three-touchdown lead. Dalton hit several different receivers on quick slants, and Bernard continued to gash the Colts porous defense.

And suddenly, the Colts found themselves back in the game. A long touchdown pass, a long run by Luck, and then a play that included seven missed tackles, injuries to Terrence Newman and Iloka, and a Colts touchdown followed directly afterward.
