Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was forced from yesterday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens early in the game with what was later determined to be a mild foot sprain. That injury was enough however to keep him from returning to the game.

He was forced to watch from the sideline as the Ravens and Vikings scored a combined 36 points in the final two minutes of the game, and he wasn’t pleased with the treatment his teammates got from the referees, and the treatment the Baltimore fans showed them as well:

Peterson had only 13 yards on seven carries before leaving the game with an injury. Peterson is scheduled to undergo an MRI Monday, but doesn’t think it will end his season:

"“Not at all. You should’ve seen me in here, trying to get back out there,” Peterson said. “I kept my pads on throughout most of the third quarter, until I finally was like, ‘I’m not going to be able to go’.”"

If the injury is indeed a minor sprain, he should be ready to face the Cincinnati Bengals in two weeks.
