NFL Power Rankings: Bengals Remain Darkhorse as Playoffs Near

With all of these rankings, it’s clear that the majority of experts, bloggers and fans alike think the Bengals are on the cusp of becoming elite, but aren’t quite there yet. That’s the prefect spot to be in, as more often than not, at least one participant in the Super Bowl is a team in that category.

It was the Ravens in 2012, the Giants in 2011, the Packers in 2010, the Cardinals in 2009 and the Giants again in 2008 who entered the playoffs in the 8-12 range in the majority of people’s power rankings, but went on to make it to the Super Bowl, and four of those six mentioned teams held the Lombardi Tropy when the season ended.

That being said, here’s the latest edition of the Stripe Hype Power Rankings:
