On offense, offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum sprained his knee in a 22-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thanksgiving night, and missed last week’s loss to the Miami Dolphins. Beachum was named the team’s starting left tackle after injuries and poor play plagued the team during their 0-4 start.
He beat-out the incumbent Mike Adams for the starting gig, and has played well since taking over. Adams started Sunday against the Dolphins and did well against the likes of Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon, but if Beachum is healthy enough to play, he’ll probably be the one charged with keeping Carlos Dunlap and Michael Johnson at bay.
According to Pro Football Focus, Beachum has allowed 19 QB pressures in 421 snaps, while Adams has manged to allow 24 hurries in 308 snaps. Regardless of who starts, the Bengals pass-rushers should have big games.
