Dre Kirkpatrick has been given a very big, unique opportunity with the Cincinnati Bengals. Over the past three weeks, Kirkpatrick’s snaps on defense has vastly increased; in which he has recorded his first sack and clutch interception in that time frame. Many fans have been giving up on him quickly because he was injured all of last year and tin the beginning of this season.

But that’s just ludicrous to believe a player can come in so quickly and must produce at a Pro Bowl level his first year. Bengal fans are a little spoiled with how quickly AJ Green, Andy Dalton, and Giovani Bernard have done early in their careers.

However, Dre Kirkpatrick is an extremely talented player whom now has a great chance to have his first ever start in a NFL game. Even better? It’s a crucial divisional game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on national television. Not only that, but many people mock that the Bengals will draft a cornerback in the 1st round of the 2014 draft.

If Kirkpatrick plays extremely well these next few games, it may allow the Bengals to take a corner in a later round.
