Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson
Patterson has broken-out over the past few weeks with Matt Cassel now starting at QB. After totaling five receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown last Sunday, it is clear that Minnesota will get the talented player involved any way it can, and against a Philadelphia Eagles secondary this week that’s allowing the most points to WRs this year, he could be primed for another big week.
He may be an even bigger part of the gameplan now that Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart are likely out. The Vikings don’t want to rely on the arm of either of their subpar QBs, but it looks like they’ll have no other options.
And with the ability to return kicks for a touchdown, he’s a must-play in leagues that give credit for special teams TDs. Without that however, he’s a low-end WR2.
Eagles TE Zach Ertz
Speaking of Minnesota, they’re giving up the 6th most fantasy points to tight ends and Ertz matches up nicely against their defense. Ertz had a break out game two weeks ago but followed it up with a stinker last week. He is a roll of the dice.
