Tight end Jermaine Gresham had rough night as well Sunday. His only notable play came as he was fighting for extra yardage on the Bengals’ first possession of the second half, but had the ball get pried loose by Troy Polamalu.
He finished the night with three catches for 23 yards on five targets, but left early after suffering a hip injury in the second-half and didn’t return. Rookie TE Tyler Eifert caught three passeson three targets for 33 yards and may be counted on to be the primary TE in Week 16 if Gresham can’t go.
The first-rounder out of Notre Dame hasn’t lived up to expectations this year, but Cincinati may need him to step-up and play a bigger role in the offense going forward.
