The Ravens expect quarterback Joe Flacco to start Sunday against the New England Patriots, despite an MCL sprain he suffered towards the end of Monday night’s win over the Detroit Lions.
After Flacco took a shot to the knee from Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy, Ravens Head Coach Jim Harbaugh said he though it was illegal and perhaps deserving a fine. But according to PFT, Levy will not be fined for the hit that now has Flacco listed as questionable to play Sunday vs. the New England Patriots.
Flacco will wear a protective brace on his knee Sunday for the first time in his NFL career after being fitted for the equipment and started using it on Wednesday. He’s started every game in his NFL career, a streak that spans 107 games.
While he is listed as questionable for Sunday, the Ravens anticipate he’ll play.
