After missing last week’s game against the Eagles with an ankle injury, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is expected to play vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. The decision may not be made until game time but AP said Friday that he was likely to play.

"“I’m looking forward to playing this week,” Peterson said. “Get another day to rest [Saturday], which is going to be good. I’ll be ready to roll.”"

Peterson has 1,221 rushing yards this year, second in the NFL to Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy. He expects to play after doing some work in practice and feeling improvement in his foot.

The Bengals are hoping to clinch a playoff berth today, but that just became a lot more difficult to do.
