Bengals Christmas Injury Update

Nov 10, 2013; Baltimore, MD, USA; Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict (55) warms up prior to the game against the Baltimore Ravens at M

The Bengals didn’t practice today in order to allow everyone to celebrate Christmas, but according to Geoff Hobson of, the team did release an estimated injury report if they did practice today.

Rookie tight end Tyler Eifert and linebacker Vontaze Burfict would have sat-out today, as would have cornerback Terence Newman and defensive tackle Devon Still.

Eifert was ruled out for the of Sunday’s game after suffering a stinger in the first quarter. He was blocking on a run-play and had a defender fell onto his arm as he was going to the ground, and he immediately grabbed hold of it and went to the sideline to seek help from the team trainers.

Burfict is undergoing  the NFL’s concussion protocol after suffering a head injury on Sunday.

As far as players who would have practiced in a limited capacity, offensive tackle Andre Smith (ankle), tight end Jermaine Gresham (hamstring), cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (ankle) and linebacker Vincent Rey (ankle) would have been healthy enough to go and likely will be able to play Sunday vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
