Peyton Manning and the rest of the Denver Broncos received one of the best gifts of the year for Christmas.  One of his favorite new targets; Wes Welker returned to practice on a limited basis.

This is great news for the Broncos. Though he was likely limited, it’s Welker’s first action on the field since suffering his second concussion in four weeks back in Week 14. As of Monday, Welker had yet to be cleared to play, and it still is unlikely he’ll play Sunday vs. the Oakland Raiders.

If he does, it will be in limited snaps just to get his feet back under him before the team gets a first-round bye in the NFL playoffs.

As for Wolfe, who has not practiced since suffering “seizure-like symptoms” on Nov. 29, was also in uniform for Wednesday’s practice. Wolfe had not practiced since his incident, which occurred on the team’s bus ride to the airport for the trip to Kansas City for the Dec. 1 game against the Chiefs.
