Broncos RB Montee Ball

The rookie got off to a rough start this year due to fumbling issues and not picking up the blitz in pass protection, but he’s been given more touches as the season has progressed.

But after seeing 32 combined touches over Weeks 13 and 14, Ball has just seven carries and five receptions over the past two games. The Broncos don’t appear ready to give the rookie more touches in an attempt to rest Knowshon Moreno, but against an Oakland Raiders defense among the league’s worst at stopping the run, it’s hard to keep Ball on the bench.

With the Broncos having wrapped up a first-round bye, there is a chance Ball gets extensive carries next Sunday, as Moreno may rest.
