The Buccaneers started 0-8 only to win four of their next five, with rookie quarterback Mike Glennon showing promise. Since then, Tampa Bay has dropped four of five to fall to 4-12.
He might not be out of work long, as Penn State is ready to “make a strong push” for Schiano if current coach Bill O’Brien accepts an NFL job, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
To recap, Leslie Frazier of the Vikings, Rob Chudzinski of the Browns, Mike Shanahan of the Redskins and now Schiano have been fired.
