The Bengals today signed free agents CB Brandon Burton and DT Zach Minter to Reserve/Future contracts. They will not join the team for any work or count on the active roster until the day following the Super Bowl.

Burton (5-11, 190; Utah) is a third-year NFL player. He played in 14 games with one start for Minnesota over 2011-12. He was with the Vikings in the 2013 preseason and played in Games 1-5 of this season with Buffalo, waived on Oct. 28.

Minter (6-1, 297; Montana State) signed with Chicago this past may as a college free agent and played in two games before being waived on Nov. 5.

The Bengals actually worked Zach Minter out week after cut from Bears’ 53-man roster to sign Jay Ratliff. As for Burton, his only meaningful playing time came in 74 snaps in 2011, and he registered a -2.7 grade from Pro Football Focus in what limited playing time he got.
