Round 4: Cody Hoffman, BYU, WR

The Bengals look to add yet another weapon to their offense. Cody Hoffman has been extremely consistent throughout his time at BYU and had a decent senior season. He has ideal size that can create mismatches for any defense. While his biggest weakness is his speed, he is excellent at route running and using his body to block out defenders.

Working well with short to intermediate routes, Andy Dalton may have found yet another security blanket. Although it may not seem like Hoffman can do much after the catch because of his speed, that’s when his power takes over. An extremely physical receiver whom knows how to use his hands, he doesn’t allow defenders to knock him off his route.

A huge red zone target, he would only boost the Bengals top 10 offense and add depth, especially with some wide receivers contracts coming up soon. A very talented wide receiver that is being overlooked because of his speed, Hoffman could be a huge 3rd down receiver for the Bengals for years to come. Hoffman has Hoffman has a huge chance to improve his draft stock in the Senior Bowl.
