NFL Playoffs: Talk of Expansion and Reseeding Continues to Grow

As the first weekend of the 2014 NFL playoffs concludes, the talk of expanding the field of 12 teams continues to gain momentum as the offseason approaches. While the addition of one more teams in both leagues is unlikely to happen next year, the talk continues to grow that it will happen sooner rather than later.
Just this week, Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones publicly lobbied for playoff expansion, though it was quickly laughed at given the Cowboys’ late-season collapses in recent years.
But according to Dennis Dodd, he believes expansion in the NFL playoffs is coming and it’s actually affecting the new college football playoff system set to take into effect this year:
