It looks like the Cleveland Browns won’t be hiring any of the Cincinnati Bengals coordinators for their vacant head-coaching position, and the odds-on favorite as of now to be the seventh head coach of a the franchise since their return in 1999 is New England Patriots Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels.
Per CSNNE.com, McDaniels confirmed Monday that he did meet with the Browns about becoming their next head coach:
"“We met and that’s about all there is at this point,” he said during a noontime conference call. “Nothing further.”"
He continues to look like the favorite to land that job, but until the Patriots season sends, it can’t become a reality.
