If Ryan Mallett is available, Bengals may show interest

After a third-straight poor performance by Andy Dalton in the NFL playoffs, the Cincinnati Bengals are once again left with uncertainty surrounding the most important position there is.
For much of the year, Dalton was slowly showing them why they should feel confident in him being the franchise QB and eventually sign him to a long-term extension now that he’s available for one.
But after another dismal playoff performance, the Bengals need to at least bring in a developmental QB to try and develop into a potential successor to Dalton if he continues to falter in big games.
That man could just be New England Patriots QB Ryan Mallett:
One thing being as complete and deep as the Bengals are does for them -- They can afford to spend a draft pick on a developmental QB.

Another thing to remember for Cincy: My understanding is, 4 Gruden, it was down to Dalton & Mallett w/that pick. Mallett might be available.
