2014 NFL Pro Bowl Draft Results from First Night

The first-ever NFL Pro Bowl Draft kicked-off tonight with the selection of 22 players (11 per team) consisting of guards, centers, fullbacks, interior defensive linemen, punters and special teamers.

Pro Football Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders will serve as alumni team captains for their Pro Bowl squads – Team Rice and Team Sanders – and have final say over draft decisions.

Rice won a coin flip earlier today where he selected Saints QB Drew Brees and Rams DE Robert Quinn as his team captions, and Sanders picked Texans DE JJ Watt and Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles.

Players were drafted in rounds determined by position groups, and first up, it was the interior defensive lineman.

The first-overall pick came from Team Rice, and it was Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

The remaining players will be drafted on Wednesday during a live three-hour broadcast on NFL Network at 8:00 PM ET.

The 2014 Pro Bowl, presented by McDonald’s, will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. The game will be televised live on Sunday, January 26, on NBC at 7:00 PM ET.
