Loser: Cobi Hamilton

Thus far this off-season, Cobi Hamilton has been given ample opportunity to find success within this offense. But Hamilton has struggled to find his footing and may be playing himself onto the practice squad once more. Hamilton was targeted 13 times during last night’s game, yet was only able to convert two catches for 13 yards. Hamilton could be the victim of subpar play from Matt Scott, but with so many opportunities, Hamilton must take some of the blame. Hamilton was considered a steal in last year’s draft when the Bengals acquired him in the sixth round. He set many receiving records while at Arkansas and owns the SEC’s single game receiving record with 303 yards. Tyler Wilson is Hamilton’s former quarterback at Arkansas, but even with this added chemistry, Hamilton failed yet again to take advantage of a great opportunity. At this point its reasonable to expect Hamilton to land on the practice squad after spending a year there last year. Due to his inability to contribute on special teams, combined with the recent lackluster play from the unit, its getting difficult to see a situation where the talented receiver makes the final roster.
