Going into last night’s game the Jets had expressed a desire for “payback” after the Bengals beat the Jets in convincing style last year 49-9. There was several cheap shots during last night’s action, which landed the Jets several personal foul penalties. Rex Ryan has been known to rally his troops in such a fashion in the past, so it was unsurprising to see the Jets’ players behave in such a fashion. Several Bengals’ players left the game at various time, a list that includes Vontaze Burfict, Marquis Flowers, Rex Burkhead, Jeremy Hill, Darqueze Dennard, and James Wright. Although several players were “dinged up” at various times, the Bengals got out of the game largely healthy as no significant injuries have been reported at this time (fingers crossed). With two games down and two games to go, hopefully the Bengals can get out of the preseason largely healthy, as has been difficult in past years.
