I remember watching the 2013 draft and many pundits seemed actually high on Scott.  That time seems like a long time ago as Scott has struggled since joining the NFL ranks.  He made little impression on the Jaguars even considering their atrocious quarterbacking situation in 2013. He struggled during the Bengals game against the Jets this past Saturday following a solid performance against the Chiefs.  Although there may be more talented players on the roster, the Bengals will likely keep a third quarterback on their practice squad, which will allow them to keep an extra player on the 53-man roster rather than three quarterbacks as was originally planned when drafting A.J. McCarron.  The Bengals have wanted to “rest” McCarron’s shoulder this off-season after he’s reportedly struggled with “shoulder tightness.”  McCarron has yet to see the field, so it’s looking like the Bengals may place him on the I.R. for the year, which would still allow him to learn the offense from the sidelines.  Scott will assumedly battle with Tyler Wilson for the practice squad spot and after lackluster performances from both on Saturday, it’s anybody’s “ball game.”  Scott has spent more time with the Bengals this off-season, so I expect him to get the job in the end.
