So far this off-season the Bengals 2014 second round pick Jeremy Hill has looked like he was worth the investment. Hill has been productive, albeit in limited carries, with nine carries for 52 yards in two games–good for a 5.78 yards/carry.  Hill has also shown an ability to catch the ball with two catches for 13 yards and was drafted, in part, for his blocking ability; Hill could be the complete package for the Bengals.  The team has been looking for “bell cow” back and after drafting the speedy and shifty Giovani Bernard, Hill would be the perfect compliment to Bernard in the backfield.

Tomorrow the Bengals will be looking to give Hill some first team snaps.  Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson made as much clear to Cincinnati.com’s Richard Skinner.

"“He’s worthy of playing with those guys.”"

Giving Hill the opportunity to play with the first team and against first team competition will give fans an excellent look into the true potential of the Bengals’ newest weapon.  If he does well Hill’s confidence will receive a huge boost heading into his first regular season.  Whether Hill plays well with the first team or not (or even if he doesn’t play with them at all), he figures to have a substantial role within the offense this year.  Hill should receive the Bengals goal line carries and get the Bengals the tough yards they’ll need to keep the chains moving.  Tomorrow night will be an exciting evening for Hill and fans alike.
