The Cincinnati Bengals to the next step in reducing their team to 53 today waiving 3 more players, QB Tyler Wilson, LB Brandon Joiner, and DT Lakendrick Ross. This news came from the Bengals official Twitter account.

Tyler Wilson was acquired after the first preseason game when QB Jason Campbell went down with a concussion. It was bound to happen sooner or later with Campbell returning to the team and AJ McCarron expected to soon come off of rest. The team was only likely to carry 3 quarterbacks into the regular season.

Line Backer Brandon Joiner was not expected to make the 53 man roster as well. The Depth and strength at this position pushed him to the outside looking in. It was at least good exposure for Joiner who could be picked up by other teams or could be playing for a practice squad role somewhere.

Lakendrick Ross was a good option for depth if Geno Atkins would have started on the PUP list or IR designated to return. He is the odd man out since the return of Geno Atkins and could be a good depth move for a team who might be struggling with early injuries.

The Bengals will now have to shave the roster even further by 4pm tomorrow to 53 men. They will be making some bigger moves tomorrow but 10 positions will be filled as practice squad members will start to be signed as certain players clear waivers.
