According to Geoff Hobson, editor of Bengals.com, Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis sounds optimistic about Andre Smith playing despite his only probably tag. Lewis says that Smith has practiced for the past two weeks and explains here why the intensity of Bengals’ practices (compared to games) can be enough for Smith to be ready for games.
"“It’s a little bit different, but not much the way we practice,” Lewis said. “He’s going to be playing against good guys. He’s played against good guys out here. He’s played against Carlos (Dunlap), Margus (Hunt), and Robert (Geathers) and Wallace (Gilberry) out here the last two weeks. He’s played football, but he hasn’t had to finish football, but he’s played football.”"
Andre Smith’s presence would be a huge boost for the offensive line, which will try and match up against the Ravens strong front seven.
As for the Ravens, the only two reported injuries are to running back Bernard Pierce and cornerback Ladarius Webb. Both players have fully practiced throughout the week and are listed as probable and questionable, respectively.
