Green’s toe injury has been an issue over the past few weeks; he’s re-aggravated it a couple of times since Week 2. Hopefully his removal from the field via cart is only precautionary and Green will be fine in the long run. But as injuries continue to reoccur several times, one has to wonder if Green needs extended rest in order to truly get over the injury; though he did just come off the bye week, so it’s a bit more concerning in light of the reality.
On a better note, Vontaze Burfict is back to work today.

His presence has been sorely missed evidenced by the beating the Bengals took at the hands of the Patriots. His ability to anticipate plays, get his teammates lined up quickly and properly, and help against the run were clearly the areas where the Bengals missed Burfict the most on Sunday. It’s something they’ll have to work on as it’s clearly beneficial if another player can own these tasks if Burfict has to sit out again at some point (fingers crossed).
