Getting to South Station

– Obviously when you go to any major city, the use of cars diminishes significantly, and the use of subways systems increases. This is not a complaint at all. I understand that these take time. It is what I expected. However, the distance from our hotel, the Embassy Suites, and South Station via car is 3.3 miles or nine minutes.

We left for South Station from our hotel at 4:00. The subway system had us take the Blue Line from the Air Port down three stops to State. The stops are separated by a total time traveled of roughly two minutes a stop. Once we arrived at State we had to climb two sets of stairs to transfer over to the orange line. Once on the orange line, we traveled one stop to transfer over to the red line. From there it was one more stop to South Station.

This entire process of traveling 3.3 miles took more party approximately one hour. We arrived at South Station in Boston at 5:00.
