Fantasy Football: Week 6 “Sneaky Starts”
It seems every year fantasy football has a theme and this year’s is, the backup to the backup running back is an important position. This week the following running backs will be starters: Darin Reeves Carolina Panthers, Brandon Oliver San Diego Chargers, Andre Williams New York Giants, Storm Johnson Jacksonville Jaguars, and the more well know Ronnie Hillman for the Denver Broncos. Many of the listed players will be starters on fantasy teams this week either on your team or someone your matched-up against. Read on to see which one made this week’s “Sneaky Starts”.

QB – Drew Stanton, Arizona Cardinals
Stanton has been cleared to play and it looks like Carson Palmer is still at least a week away. This week, Stanton gets a Washington defense that has been a sieve to opposing quarterbacks the last three weeks. They are also coming off a short week against the Seattle Seahawks. Stanton has the pieces around him to succeed and should be able to pull out a 270-yard, two touchdown game. If your fantasy football team needs a quarterback, you should feel confident in Stanton.
RB – Storm Johnson, Jacksonville Jaguars
Proceed with some caution here because Jacksonville has yet to have a running back go over 42 yards in a game this season. Part of this is because they are always playing “catch up” and the other part is their offensive line isn’t any good. Rolling with Johnson would be a true sneaky start, but who saw Brandon Oliver breaking out?

WR – Jarius Wright, Minnesota Vikings
Surprisingly not many have chased Wright’s breakout two weeks ago against Atlanta. Part of that is because Christian Ponder was at the helm, but Teddy Bridgewater is back and the last time the two were on the field at the same time, Wright caught eight of 1o targets for 132 yards. It’s probably unrealistic to think that he will repeat that effort, but it’s not out of the question; the two clearly have some chemistry. He’s owned in only 4% of Yahoo leagues.
TE – Clay Harbor, Jacksonville Jaguars
The tight end cupboard is pretty bare, but Harbor has the chance to be a “sneaky start” this week against the Titans who have given up the ninth most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Harbor is playing almost every down on offense, so he should get plenty of work again this week. Two weeks ago, Harbor caught eight of eight targets for 70 yards. He sits on the wavier wire in 97% of Yahoo leagues.
