Fantasy Football: Week 7 Cut List
This week we will change things up and look at some players that are no longer worth the roster spot on your fantasy football team. We have seen several players emerge from injuries/suspensions only to see them fade away into fantasy irrelevancy. Just because a player makes the list now doesn’t mean they won’t make an impact again if their current circumstances change, but for now, this is how things are playing out for these players. Here is the Week Seven Cut List.
QB – Johnny Manziel, Cleveland Browns
Johnny Football is now Johnny backup and it looks like that is where he will stay no matter how many Snickers commercials he does. The magic man is being held on the bench by a guy who shut his mouth, got into the playbook, and focused on being a professional instead of trending on Twitter. Cut this clown lose.
Alternative pickup: Blake Bortles

RB – Lorenzo Taliaferro, Baltimore Ravens
Owners who thought they got a steal when they grabbed Taliaferro are now suffering from a case of, “Low T” (thanks Adam). “Low T” has been nonexistent the last two weeks and as long as Justin Forsett and Bernard Pierce are in the picture, the rookie will struggle for carries. Cut bait and grab better depth.
Alternative pickup: Antone Smith
More from Bengals Fantasy Football
- Cincinnati Bengals: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em for Week 8 vs. Jets
- Cincinnati Bengals: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em for Week 6 vs. Lions
- Cincinnati Bengals: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em for Week 4 vs. Jaguars
- Cincinnati Bengals: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em for Week 3 vs. Steelers
- Cincinnati Bengals: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em for Week 2 vs. Bears
WR – Hakeem Nicks, Indianapolis Colts
Once a “sleeper,” Nicks has been off the fantasy radar for several weeks. The last three weeks he has struggled, turning 19 targets into only seven catches for 49 yards. It’s hard to stick with that. He is, at best, the fourth option in the passing game and will probably continue to lose snaps to the far more talented T.Y. Hilton.
Alternative pickup: Brandon LaFell
TE – Niles Paul, Washington Redskins
It was fun while it lasted and I’m sure Paul played an integral part in winning some fantasy matchups in Weeks Two and Three. Now, it’s time to cut bait. Paul has been irrelevant for the last two weeks and with starter Jordan Reed is back, his production will be very limited.
Alternative pickup: Clay Harbor
