First of all, Happy Veterans Day.  As a vet myself, I feel pride and privileged to have served this country and commend all those who serve and have served. We had some big blowouts this week and “the cream is starting to rise to the top” around the league. So much parity still exists and the push towards the playoffs should be fun to watch. Here is a look at this week’s “Waiver Wire Wonders.”

Derek Carr is a quality weekly matchup add for your fantasy football team. Mandatory Credit: Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

QB – Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders

The thing about Carr is that he is throwing a lot of passes: 54, 41, and 47 in the last three weeks. He is not lighting the world on fire, but the volume is there. Carr is a decent matchup play and is playing from behind every week.  Carr is only owned in the 11% of the Yahoo fantasy football leagues.

RB – Adrian Peterson Minnesota Vikings

I’m not going to say anything, but if he’s available, you should consider adding him to your fantasy team.  He’ s obviously a quality fantasy football player.

WR Jordan Matthews, Philadeplia Eagles

Matthews has been fully intergrated into the Eagles’ offense and is having some solid weekly performaces. He and Mark Sanchez also seem to have a connection from working together in practice. There is no reason to think the rookie won’t continue to produce. He is owned in only 27% of Yahoo leagues.

TE Mychal Rivera, Oakland Raiders

Rivera is a weekly fantasy staple now and should be added in all formats. He and Derek Carr have a real rapport with each other. The Radiers are in catchup mode in nearly every game, so opportunities at receptions won’t be an issue.  Rivera has 21 catches and three touchdown over the last three weeks.
