Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports about a half hour later reported it was suspected to be a tear to his tricep.
Belief is Bengals OT Andre Smith suffered a significant tear to his triceps, source says. Won't know full extent until MRI tomorrow.

The Bengals will await an MRI for the official diagnosis but it would be a huge blow to the depth of the offensive line. He just became healthy after an ankle sprain and will be down for sometime. The question is how much and how severe the tear is. It may require surgery but a tear of any kind would sideline him for the rest of the season.
This would be a blow to the depth of the Bengals line with either backup Marshall Newhouse, who came in for Smith against the Texans, or Tanner Hawkinson, who is behind Smith on the Bengals depth chart, to fill in for the rest of the year.
The Bengals will await final diagnosis once the results of the MRI are known. It could be as early as Marvin Lewis’s press conference later today. We will keep you updated on our twitter and facebook pages
