The Cincinnati Bengals head to Cleveland this week for the second of two matchups between the Ohio rivals. The game couldn’t be bigger for both teams. The Browns are on the brink of being eliminated from the playoffs, so a win is necessary. As for the Bengals, after losing a huge game against the Steelers on Sunday, another loss this week would seriously harm their chances to repeat as AFC North champions. And though it wouldn’t eliminate them from the playoffs, the Bengals would be dealing with a serious negative momentum shift. This week is vital for both teams, so each will be hoping to have the full availability of their respective rosters. Here’s the Bengals injury report heading into Week 15’s divisional matchup.

It’s no surprise to see Vontaze Burfict on the Bengals injury report as they officially placed him on the injured reserve list yesterday.  What is concerning is the amount of the Bengals’ secondary that is listed on the injury report this week: Adam Jones, Dre Kirkpatrick, and Terence Newman.  There has been no reports to this point about any of the injuries being serious, so it’s not terribly concerning, but is something to watch as the week progresses.

Other than that, this injury report is rather short compared to most of the ones we’ve seen this year.  Margus Hunt continues to sit out; he hasn’t played since the Saints game a month ago.  Hopefully he’ll be back soon.  James Wright also missed practice today after not playing agains the Steelers.  He was emerging within the offense prior to that, so hopefully his return is imminent.
