Clint Boling was priority number one for the Bengals heading into free agency, and now they have all but signed on the dotted line according to Around The NFL’s Twitter page, which sites NFL Media’s Aditi Kinkhabwala report.

The Bengals can call Day One a success with the signing of A.J. Hawk, a vital part of their depth with Eric Winston, and now the report of their top free agent offensive lineman returning. A day that many Bengals fans didn’t think would come after a silent first hour and a half, while other teams were frantically scrambling to make deals after shocking trades to start free agency.

Boling will be entering his fifth year with the Bengals and has made a large impact when blocking for Jeremy Hill, Giovani Bernard, and Andy Dalton.

The Bengals made headlines heading into tomorrow’s reported meeting with former Lion defensive tackle and current free agent Nick Fairley, who would be a huge defensive upgrade in the pass rush.

If the Bengals finish all of these deals, it could be their biggest free agency haul in recent years, and could revive them as the front runners in the AFC North race heading into 2015.

In a day full of surprises and pure madness, the Bengals and their fans can finally be proud of their free agency accomplishments after Day One.
