Clint Boling: A

First, let me say I am excited to have Clint Boling back in Cincinnati as his impact on the offensive line would’ve been very tough to replace. I think they slightly overpaid to get him, at least early in the contract, but it eventually becomes team friendly. He is owed $26 million over five years with $5 million guaranteed and $2.5 million in signing bonuses.

Reports on Tuesday’s opening free agent scrum concluded with the big news that Boling would return, but only after many speculated that his return to the Bengals was doubtful. If he helps keep Dalton clean and provides space for Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill to run, his retention could prove to be the best move of this year’s free agency.
