The Cincinnati Bengals have a luxury on their hands: They have a lot depth at the wide receiver position. It is something they haven’t had for a number of seasons.
Last season, the Bengals carried six wide receivers on their roster: A.J. Green, Mohamed Sanu, James Wright, Brandon Tate, Greg Little, and Dane Sanzenbacher (Marvin Jones also, but who was on the injured reserve list).
Now, they return five wide receivers (Green, Jones, Sanu, Wright, and Tate), and with the addition of Denarius Moore who reunites with offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, they will have six viable wide receivers to fill the out the position. But the Bengals could add more receivers via the draft or by re-signing Sanzenbacher who’s 2014 campaign ended after sustaining a concussion against the Steelers in Week 17. If this happens, and it likely will, Cincinnati could enjoy a strong training camp competition for the receiving roster spots.
