Need: Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State

Obviously if the “want” pick in the first round happens, the “need” in the second would change, but in this scenario it doesn’t. With offensive tackle addressed in the first round, now we need some speed to take the top off a defense, and it just so happens that the best receiver at doing so in this year’s draft is Devin Smith.

Want: Eric Kendricks, ILB, UCLA

Beast, beast, beast is all you can say about this guy. A 232-pound man that runs sideline to sideline and is an instant starter if drafted. Eric Kendricks would provide some relief to the coaches with Vontaze Burfict’s timeline for return still undetermined.  Kendricks would allow Burfict to return slowly if necessary.
