Day Two proved eventful as the Bengals drafted Jake Fisher, an offensive tackle from Oregon, Tyler Kroft, a tight end from Rutgers, and Paul Dawson, the linebacker from TCU. Today will finish up this years draft with rounds four through seven and the Bengals holding five picks in the day. They hold the 120th overall and 135 overall picks in the fourth round, 157th overall in the fifth, 197th pick in the sixth, and 238th overall in the seventh.
The Bengals have sent a message to their two contract year offensive tackles, Andrew Whitworth and Andre Smith, about their futures with the organization early in the draft. Their focus should swing towards the defensive line and safety in the next few rounds for depth, but one thing is for sure, the Bengals draft is starting to round out and they can already call this years draft a solid one.
We go to our day 3 discussion and as with the past two days, please feel free to comment below and ask questions, you can also visit our Facebook or Twitter page and post comments and questions there. We will do our best to answer them as the day goes along. The Bengals have proven to be successful in past drafts in the later rounds and will try to replicate the results again this year.
