Division Winner: New England Patriots

Despite any potential “Deflategate” consequences, it is very difficult to pick against last season’s Super Bowl winner, the New England Patriots.  Statistically, the team who wins the Super Bowl the year prior has a hard time even making the playoffs the following season.  Some call it a hangover, but never fear, Bill Belichick is here.  The Patriots may get derailed early, but will fiercely come back and wrap it up by Christmas.  Yes, the AFC Playoffs are going through Foxborough once again.

Most Interesting Team: New York Jets

The Jets did well to acquire Brandon Marshall and pair him with Eric Decker.  Also, they managed to bring back Darrelle Revis and whatever he has left in the tank along with Antonio Cromartie and Buster Skrine to bolster the secondary.  Add a solid draft class including Leonard Williams (DL, USC), Devin Smith (WR, Ohio State), Lorenzo Mauldin (OLB, Louisville), Bryce Petty (QB, Baylor), and a trade that brought in Smith’s teammate at OSU, WR DeVier Posey, and the Jets might just sneak into the playoffs as the AFC East’s division winner or as a wild card team.
