Last season, the injury bug hit the Cincinnati Bengals severely. Not only did it affect the franchise players, but it also hit some of the team’s key reserves. On offense, it left Bengals fans with the one thing we all fear: Andy Dalton with no weapons. The offense lost A.J. Green, Marvin Jones, Jermaine Gresham, Tyler Eifert, James WrightGiovani Bernard and Andre Smith at varying points during the season.

On defense, the Bengals lost Vontaze Burfict and Rey Maualuga leaving the team lacking at linebacker. The defense struggled from there after losing their “heart and soul”.

Although last season ended in another “one and done”, the “Drive for five” starts now and this could be the year Cincinnati wins a playoff game and goes on a long run to the Super Bowl.

This offseason has been really good to Cincinnati. The Bengals managed to retain productive players, find great players in free agency, draft well and sign quality undrafted free agents. All this productivity has primed us for an exciting training camp.

Let’s take a look at the Bengals’ top five training camp battles of 2015.
