2. Cincinnati Bengals
Not behind the Steelers by much and they may surpass them once the Le’Veon Bell suspension becomes official, but for now, the Cincinnati Bengals represent a solid number two in the preseason division power ranking.
The Bengals have probably the most diverse receiving cores, which gives them an advantage over the Steelers’ pure straight line speed. The height and vertical ability of A.J. Green makes him a solid threat, Marvin Jones is one of the most talented, all-around receivers due to his speed, hands, and slant receiving abilities. He can beat you short and deep and make defensive backs miss. The only question has been with reference to the guy under center.
With Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard, the Bengals also have the best running combos in the NFL. In an effort to avoid another meltdown, the defense was bolstered by bringing back defensive end Michael Johnson and bringing in veteran linebacker (and Ohio native) A.J. Hawk. Pair their talents with the leadership already there and you have a dangerous combination.
