Geno Atkins

Geno Atkins is the best defensive tackle in the league (Sorry Suh). Last season he came off a torn ACL he suffered in 2013 on a Halloween game against the Dolphins and I’ll admit he didn’t look like the same guy he was pre-injury. But if we are talking Atkins pre-injury, is there anyone who can stop him?

In 2011, Atkins had 7.5 sacks. In 2012 that number jumped to 12.5 and in 2013 within eight and half games Atkins racked up 6 sacks. 300lbs lineman are not suppose to be pass rushers, but he is one of the best. 300lbs defensice lineman is usually a run stopper. Atkins does that to.

Like most people, Atkins didn’t respond well to the year coming off the torn ACL. Although there has been reports that Atkins is looking like him old self says Coach Hayes.

“It’s scary how fast and explosive he is right now. I think he has the confidence that he has his legs under him. He feels like he did.”
