While training camp gets underway the roster is currently at 90 players. By the time September arrives the same Bengals roster will have to be whittled down to 53 players. Injuries and ineffectiveness will help shape part of the roster, but this looks like a year that some hard cuts will have to be made.
Decisions will need to be made, for example, should they carry five or six receivers, should they push their third string quarterback to the practice squad, since Mohamed Sanu could play in the case of emergency. On defense, how many linebackers do they carry and is four tackles enough?
There are a lot of decisions to be made and it will only be a matter of time before we see the first round of cuts. Matt took a look at some of the position battles heating up in training camp, so with that in mind, here is a quick look at what the the Bengals 53 man roster could look like heading into the 2015 NFL season.
