With most fantasy football drafts starting shortly it’s important to know the depth of each position. For example if you can draft the second rated wide receiver over the 5th rated running back, do it. Real NFL teams do this during the actual drafts and the ones that don’t are caught reaching for need. Which is not something you want to do an any draft. Here’s a look at the top five rated players at each position.

Quarterback

1. Andrew Luck
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Ben Roethlisberger
4. Tony Romo
5. Drew Brees

What’s a little scary about this list is that Luck is the only guy under the age of 32. The state of NFL franchise quarterbacking is going to take a real it in a few years when a lot of the mid to upper 30’s guys are no longer playing. Unless it’s Luck or maybe Rogers I wouldn’t take a quarterback before round five or six where you will find guys like Romo and Roethlisberger.
